Hello, I love you can you tell me your name? My name is Carris Rhodes and instead of consciously writing awkwardly in the third person I will continue in first. Above all I hope to see you in my yoga class, or any other yoga class for that matter. Showing up is the first step. I am an enthusiastic individual who recently completed the Level 1 Anusara teacher training with my ever inspiring teacher Michael Fukumura. I have a deep connection to Encinitas and I am thrilled to teach yoga in my hometown not to mention at Yoga Swami, one of the most inspirational places on planet earth. I always knew I would be a yoga teacher but for so long I did not know the means to the end, or I guess with my yoga practice it was really the means to the beginning. I started my yoga asana practice 2.5 years ago with back injuries, tight hamstrings, and well, tight everything (mind, body, and heart). The thought of yoga asana in all honesty scared me, I had to find the courage to show up, and trust that the rest would follow. The moment I completed my first yoga practice in Santa Barbara California something in my attitude shifted and my yoga practice has been evolving ever since. I have learned so much coming from a place of injury and fear. My intention is to genuinely share my experience along with my love, passion and enthusiasm for yoga with my students. My class is sure to be entertaining, invigorating and educational. I always have a unique practice lined up with a soundtrack to accompany the postures.
Until we meet at the yurt may all those who read this move forward in life with steadfastness, great intention and a positive attitude. This is your greatest gift to humanity.
Peace and love,
Carris
