My devoted commitment to the path of yoga began around the same time I fell in love with another form of movement meditation, surfing, and for years was drawn to travel from my home in New Jersey to Costa Rica during the winter months. Each year I spent in Costa Rica, I immersed myself more deeply in my study of yoga and experienced how profoundly it changed my life. I slowly began to transform from constantly looking outside myself for happiness to experiencing the joy that comes from within when I am totally immersed in the flow. My teachers in Santa Teresa, Cris, Catie and Tammy introduced me to the true meaning of yoga, as a journey towards oneness with the self and all of creation, and planted the seeds that inspired me to explore teaching. For many years I have taught and counseled children and teens, always gravitating towards to the same essential goal of helping people free themselves from restrictive thought and behavior patterns that keep them disconnected from their inner knowledge. I am so grateful to have found a new home here in Encinitas, and a new way to help others connect more deeply to their authentic selves, using the body and breath to help shed all that clouds our true nature..
