Marisa Zink, RYT 500
Marisa is passionate about teaching yoga and helping people find a
practice that is inspiring, challenging, and appropriate for them. She
has completed the Moksha Yoga Teacher Training, directed by Ted
Grand and Jessica Robertson, including senior teachers Rev. Frank
Jude Boccio, Dr. Laurier-Pierre Desjardins, and Michael Stone, and has
studied traditional hatha yoga with Mark Whitwell, the teachings of
Krishnamacharya. Marisa is also very influenced by Ana Forrest, and
has completed the Forrest Yoga Teacher Training.
She was born and raised on Vancouver Island, in Beautiful British
Columbia, where her mother first introduced her to yoga as a young
child. At age three she began a study of classical ballet, and later
various other forms of dance. She was reintroduced to the practice of
yoga and meditation as a young adult, and it has remained a big part
of her life ever since. As a means of keeping the mind and body
relaxed, cleansed, and fit, yoga has helped remind Marisa that
remaining connected to breath and the flow of her thoughts, keeps her
available and aware of the precious gifts that exist in the present
moment. With the death of her dear father, Marisa found clarity and
courage to fully pursue a path of service in holistic health.
Besides a background in the performing arts, her education extends to
undergraduate studies in Psychology and fourteen years of yoga
studies. Marisa is deeply grateful for life, for her loved ones, and for
all her teachers. Namasté
